Getting the performance down right and knowing the difference between a technical take and a true one.
Recording sessions at Morbid Audio are built around performance, not perfection. The technical side is handled by me. What I care about from you is whether what's happening in the room is actually connecting. I'll push you toward takes that feel true, and I know when to leave something alone because the imperfection is part of what makes it real and authentic.
Production
Building a sound that's genuinely yours, but modern enough to compete, and honest enough to last.
Production is my specialty and where I spend the most time thinking. I don't start with a template or a preset chain. I start by listening, really listening, to understand what the song is trying to do emotionally. Then I figure out what it needs to make that emotion jump out of the speakers bigger, wider, and stronger.
I work across rock, alternative, metal, indie, and pop. Genre is less important to me than authenticity.
Mixing & Mastering
Making your music land the way you heard it in your head.
Mixing is about clarity, balance, and impact. I do this by making sure every element is earning its place and nothing is getting in the way of the emotion. When mastering I makes sure that mix translates everywhere your listeners are going to hear it at a competitive loudness.
Artist Development
For artists who are serious about building something sustainable, not just releasing music into the void.
This is for the artist that is treating their music like a full-time pursuit wanting to build the infrastructure to match. This includes branding, audience, long term strategies, business setup, royalty collection, and so much more. These sessions are tailored to where you actually are to where you want to go. They're not some generic roadmap. It's a customized action plan based on what I've learned going from playing in a basement to playing main stage at massive rock festivals all over the country.
